Milestar tires are not made in America—they are manufactured in Taiwan—which is considered Chinese territory.

Although Milestar tires are not necessarily “made in China” products, the company is a sub-brand of Nankang Tires, whose headquarters are located in Taipei-Taiwan.

Here, we look at the company and what it has to offer. We also review four of their top recommended tires. These are:

Benefits of Using Milestar Tires

Nankang Tires has been in business since 1959 and has two facilities in Nankang city and Hsifung in Taiwan. However, Nankang Tires has also had an operational manufacturing facility in Jiangsu, China, since 2003. This might explain the never-ending debate about whether Milestar tires are Chinese or Taiwanese.

Additionally, Milestar tires are available globally. In the US, the tires are marketed and distributed by one of America’s largest private distributors of tires and related products—Tireco, Inc. This company is known to provide distributors and dealers with excellent service and top-quality products.

Started in 1972, Tireco, Inc. is one of the industry’s leading companies in anything related to consumer, commercial, towable, and specialty tires and products. The company’s headquarters are located in Gardena, California, and have a diverse network of dealers in the US.

Milestar Tires Varieties

Despite being under a famous mother company (Nankang Tires), many people are unfamiliar with Milestar tires. This is probably because the tires are more of a niche brand (the replacement tire industry).

Milestar tires are designed to provide top-notch and high performance at a low cost. The company offers a wide array of products, including Passenger, Light Truck, High Performance, Ultra-High Performance, amongst other applications listed below. These wheels are ideal for passenger cars, SUVs, light and heavy-duty trucks.

Besides leading in the tire replacement sector, Milestar Tires provide an excellent assortment of tire styles and sizes to meet everyone’s needs.

Economy Passenger Car Tires

Milestar Tires offers superb tires for compact vehicles at a relatively low cost. An excellent example of tires in this category is Milestar MS775 and Milestar M665. The former features a robust, low-cost tire compound ideal for driving in all seasons, while the latter works well in both dry and wet road conditions.

Additionally, the tires have a long tread-life, thus are long-lasting.

SUV and Light Truck Highway Tires

This category features tires that are ideal for SUVs and light trucks, with great options for all-weather and rugged roads and highways. For instance, Milestar Patagonia A/T Tire, an all-season tire, offers a smooth experience on tarmacked roads and light off-road tracks.

If you’re looking for a more authoritarian off-road model with thick tread blocks and perfect edges for providing traction on rugged rocks, then Milestar Patagonia M/T is for you! On the other hand, if you’re looking for a smooth, quiet, and affordable ride on wet and dry highways, then Milestar Grantland Tire is ideal!

Commercial Pickup and Van Tires

Milestar tires offer great value for money since they can withstand tremendous wear and tear on commercial vehicles. A great example is Milestar MS597, which is reinforced with steel belts to strengthen the tire and help it resist overloaded weight and curb damage

Studded winter tires

Sports car drivers or people who want a sports feel should choose a tire with excellent handling like the Milestar MS932. The tires offer a smooth ride and firm grip for all vehicles, including SUVs and light trucks, and are ideal for all-year traction, i.e., from winter through summer.

Additionally, this tire comes at a reasonable price, making it twice as attractive!

Heavy Duty Commercial Tires

When it comes to driving heavy-duty commercial vehicles, Milestar BS626SW is ideal! Not only is it long-lasting, but it’s a highly competitive brand when regarding weight distribution for uniform tread wear.

Radial Trailer Tires

If you’re looking for a super heavy-duty tire model for extra load-hauling capacity, Milestar Steelpro AST is what you need! You’ll find it in numerous sizes to fit almost every trailer.

Perks of Using Milestar Tires

Although Milestar tires are not at par with most globally known brands, the company caters to customers interested in quality, budget-friendly tires. However, if you’re still hesitant, here are detailed reasons to switch to these Taiwanese-made tires.

Price

First and foremost on the list of perks is the cost-friendly Milestar tires prices. Whether you have a truck, a saloon car, or SUV, Milestar Tires has an ideal tire for you! Additionally, this brand offers numerous tire varieties while still maintaining a cost-effective budget.

Most customers agree that Milestar tires are of high quality and ultra-high performance. In addition, their prices are significantly lower than other popular brands by approximately $30 to $50. This means that you can plan for your car expenses without overstretching your budget.

Performance

When it comes to performance, Milestar tires offer excellent overall handling capabilities. For starters, they feature wide circumferential ribs, which increase traction and road grip. This means that your tires will feel stable no matter the road or surface condition.

Siping, which entails cutting thin slits across your tires to improve traction on slippery surfaces like ice, is incorporated into Milestar tires. Additionally, siping also helps drivers manage their tires on scorching tracks. Consequently, your tires will have superb performance on wet roads.

Durability

Every driver wants tires that’ll last long enough before requiring replacement. However, if you have to replace your tires every one to two years, it’s best to consider switching to Milestar Tires to make this more economical.

Product shelf with tires

Milestar tires offer excellent resistance to wear and tear over extended periods. The tires also have step-down grooves, which allow the tires to remain rigid on harsh surfaces. Additionally, the tires’ tread compound has been infused with silica gel to improve overall tread life and minimize cut and chip damage.

Customer Satisfaction

Every customer wants to gain value for their money. In this regard, Milestar Tires offer high-quality tires at affordable rates. They also offer great warranty packages, some of which we’ll address below.
